Ground Risk undertook a comprehensive intrusive ground investigation to support proposed infrastructure, highways and development works at Westwood Hill, East Kilbride.
Introduction
The works characterised variable Made Ground, peat, alluvium and glacial till, with shallow groundwater identified across parts of the site. Particular focus was given to pavement and highway performance over soft and compressible soils, with peat related settlement risks assessed beneath raised formation levels.
